JackieJackie is a beautiful Arabian filly that came to the rescue with her mom Rebecca. They were in a junk yard pasture with two studs. They were two of the first horses to come to the rescue. We were unable to take the studs I'm sorry to say because we were just not set up for studs. Jackie had never been handled and was very leary of us. Even with her mother in the trailer calling to her it took us over an hour to get the 6 month old filly to allow us to catch her to take her to her new life. And what a wonderful new life she has. My oldest daughter took Jackie on as her own project, she was able to get a halter on the filly and taught her to lead in the first week at the rescue, we then moved on to baths, trailering, and hoof trimming. That is when our wonderful farrier saw something in Jackie. He decided to adopt her for hid wife Cindy as a Christmas present. And now she has a new name, Moxie, Cindy calls her and a wonderful new life that includes plenty of baby carrots and kisses on the muzzle.
