Nana

Nana is a beautiful paint mare. I saw an ad in the paper that said "Free mare if you can catch her", my heart dropped. How could anyone print that? I called the man and made arrangements to have the mare picked up and brought to the ranch. She came scared of everything. My 5yr old son looked at her and said "Mom, she looks like a Nana," and that was her name. She is making new steps every day. She is still very scared and I have not been able to halter her, but it will just take time. Please check back for Nana's progress.

 Update 4-20-10

Nana has been at a foster home learning the basics and doing great, she is very smart.  On the morning of April 10th I got a call from her foster mom at about 3:30 saying we had a baby on the ground.  Lunell named him Jig Saw. We have no idea what the sire was because she came to the rescue bred, but one things for sure Sky definitely looks like his mom.  They are both doing great.  Nana is a wonderful mom.
